Ministers’ Hill Baptist Higher Secondary School Eco Club celebrates World Environment Day every year on 5th June with the rest of the world.
The Eco club empower students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects. It is a forum through which students can reach out to influence, engage their parents and neighbourhood communities to promote sound environmental behaviour. MHBHSS Eco Club empowers students to explore environmental concepts beyond the confines of a syllabus or curriculum. It is not just an extracurricular activity but is made a priority for all the students to do something for the environment.
“For teachers, it is a wonderful opportunity to create awareness, build attitudes and help students take up activities in real world, in a way in which the constraints of the classroom and curriculum will not allow. The club activities help the teachers to meet the objectives of environmental education by imparting knowledge to help students gain a variety of experiences in and acquire a basic understanding of, the environment and its associated problems.“
